Espoo-based beauty company LUMENE is donating 1,000 Beauty Advent Calendars to nearby hospitals, to show gratitude for the nursing staff for their important work throughout the challenging years.

A functioning society is an important competitive factor for companies operating in Finland. LUMENE shows gratitude toward the hospital nursing staff for their persistent everyday work. High-quality healthcare is one of the factors influencing the Finnish business environment.

The company donates 500 Beauty Advent Calendars to the staff of Jorvi Hospital’s intensive care unit and bed ward, who have worked with corona patients. In addition, another 500 calendars will be donated to the Espoo hospital staff. The LUMENE Beauty Advent Calendar contains 24 different cosmetics and make-up products. There are familiar favorites, but also novelties, both in travel size and in full size. The calendar is made from FSC®-certified, recyclable cardboard. The fairytale-like winter illustration was created by illustrator Jenna Kunnas.

“This is our way of showing appreciation and bring more joy to the everyday life of the nursing staff. When society is doing well, companies also have better keys to success. None of us work in silos, we all need each other,” says LUMENE Group’s CEO Johan Berg.

The donation is part of LUMENE’s wider social responsibility program. This year, the focus has been on helping Ukrainian families, both in Finland and on site.  Other important themes for LUMENE are the mental health of young people and the maintenance of biodiversity.
