LUMENE GROUP ACHIEVES GREAT PLACE TO WORK CERTIFICATION™ IN FINLAND AND SWEDEN
Lumene Group has been Great Place to Work Certified™ in both Finland and Sweden. The Great Place to Work Certification™ is a recognition that a company has satisfied employees and a strong workplace culture. This recognition marks a significant milestone in Lumene Group’s journey toward building a thriving, trust-based workplace that reflects company’s commitment to fostering an environment where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to grow.
Lumene Group is using the Great Place to Work survey to gain reliable insights into the workplace culture for the first time and gained the certification already on year one with high score in both Finland and Sweden. 85 % of Lumene Group employees agrees with the statement: “taking everything into account, I would say this is a great place to work”. This surpasses the benchmark for Finland’s best workplaces in the large company category, which stands at 82%.
“We embarked on this journey with a three-year horizon in mind, so achieving the certification already in our first year is incredibly rewarding. We knew we had laid strong foundations and worked hard to build a great culture, but seeing our employee experience validated so clearly confirms that we’re on the right path, which means a lot to us”, says Kirsi Utti, HR Director at Lumene Group.
Great Place to Work Certification™ is granted by an independent organization and is based on the Trust Index© employee survey, which evaluates workplace culture across five key dimensions: credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie. The certification is grounded in employees’ authentic experiences of their workplace.
CULTURE DEVELOPMENT AS PART OF STRATEGY
One of Lumene Group’s strategic priorities is to ensure that the entire organization operates as one winning team. In recent years, the company has invested broadly in strengthening employee experience, leadership, competencies, and culture. These include implementation of unified practices and processes, the redefinition of shared values, and development programs focused on leadership and self-management.
Internal culture work has also been strengthened through hybrid work models, internal events, renovated office spaces, and language training. The principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) are embedded in everyday operations and are continuously developed as part of the company’s strategy and ongoing cultural work. The goal is to ensure that every employee, regardless of role or location, feels a sense of belonging and connection to the company’s purpose and culture.
“According to the Great Place to Work® organization, a great workplace is one where employees trust the people they work for, have pride in the work they do, and enjoy the people they work with. This is something we want to continue building, now and in the future”, says Utti.
